ANNOUNCEMENT September 22, 2003 It is with pleasure that I announce the promotion of Tim Redfern to President
of INSULECTRO effective Over the past 15 years Tim has progressed through operations, purchasing, inside and outside salesand sales management to Chief Operating Officer in 1999. Tim has a broad knowledge of the business, our strategy and our capabilities. He is well prepared to lead the company to the next level. INSULECTRO is at the beginning of a new era; in a new environment that is changing at a rate the business has never before seen. This change is creating great opportunities. Our strategy has positioned us very well to capitalize on these opportunities. Under Tim’s leadership I am confident the company will become even stronger. He has proven his leadership abilities during the fast paced, high growth years of 1999-2000 but more importantly through the severe recession of 2001-2003. Tim has the sales, operations and administrative background to take on this position. INSULECTRO is a strong company because of its strong, experienced management team and hard working and committed associates. Tim will continue to be surrounded by the strong Leadership Team that has helped guide the company through the highs and the lows. Tim, as well as the entire Leadership Team, has my full confidence and support. I will continue as Chairman of the Board and continue to be involved in customer and supplier relations, business development, strategy planning, real estate and acquisitions. As Chairman of Express and Tristar I will also be involved with their strategic planning and acquisitions. Bob Straccia will become Vice-Chairman and remain Executive Vice President and continue to be involved at the board level as well as work with Tim in marketing, advertising, supplier relationships, key customer relationships and sales.
