After an extensive audit of our quality systems, SGS has recommended that
Insulectro Lake Forest be certified to the new ISO9001:2000 standard. We passed
this audit with four minor corrective actions that will need to be fixed by the
next audit in 6 months. The Registered Lead Auditor was extremely impressed with
our system implementation, and indicated that we are ahead of most companies
making the transition from the 1994 standard.
The objectives of this audit were:
·
to confirm that the management system conforms with all the
requirements of the audit standard;
·
to confirm that the organization adheres to its own policies,
objectives and procedures;
·
to confirm that the management system is achieving the
organization’s policy objectives.
ISO9001:2000 is a new standard that required an extensive redesign of our
quality documentation, measurement, monitoring and improvement processes. Samuel
Bismuth did an impressive job leading this effort and his work should be
commended. Many other associates in Lake Forest spent a large amount of time
making the necessary quality system changes and working with the audit company
over the last several months.
