INSULECTRO Hosts 2009 Technical Seminars on Flexible Circuits Technology Published: 2009-03-15 Contact: Chris Hunrath Insulectro hosts the first of 5 technical seminars that will be conducted this year around the country. This year the focus is of the technical seminars is on Flexible Circuit Technology. Over the next few months we will host customers and OEM’s in our Chicago, Minneapolis, Mountain View and Lake Forest facilities.
On March 12th, we had 45 customers and OEM's at the Insulectro Londonderry, NH. facility. We had a very impressive turnout from our suppliers as well as customers and OEM's. Insulectro, DuPont, Isola, Pacothane and L.C.O.A. all participated in the presentations.
There were 8 subjects presented: 1. DuPont Flex Materials Overview - William Billups - DuPont 2. Prepregs for Rigid Flex - Norm Berry – Insulectro
3. Drilling Flex Circuits - Paul St.John - L.C.O.A.
4. Lamination Assist for Flex Circuits - Peter Decaneas - Pacothane 5. Imaging Process Update - William Wilson - DuPont
6. Chemistry Consideration for Flex Circuits - Chris Hunrath - Insulectro
7. Design for Manufacturing for Flex Circuits - Dale Smith - DuPont Consultant
8. Web Site Tools for Flex Circuits - Chris Hunrath - Insulectro
Kevin Miller was able to get a few of the speakers and customers into Insight, an OEM that manufactures thermal and infrared vision systems for military and commercial use. This gave us the opportunity to see DuPont materials in flexible printed circuits made by one of our Mountain View customers assembled inside the systems used by our military. We were all glad to participate in the tour of Insight before the seminars. Insight is our neighbor in Londonderry so that made the tour even more rewarding to see how our neighbor is helping our business and visa versa. A special thanks to Chris Hunrath for organizing the seminars, to our branch offices for hosting and coordinating the event and to our guest speakers whom we owe thanks to for the content.
